ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

James McCall Young, orchardist of Westgarth, Victoria, enlisted 6 Mar. 1916 and embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT A15 Port Sydney, 9 Nov. 1917. He was a gunner of the 11th Brigade Field Artillery, 41st Battery, Field Reinforcement 28 serving in France and returned to Australia 19 June 1919
