    C. C. Fisher, a school teacher of Lyndhurst, Victoria enlisted 19 Feb. 1916 aged 18. He joined the 9th Australian Camel Brigade Field Ambulance, 15 Jan. 1917 and embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT A42 Boorara, 10 May 1917 . He served in Egypt and Palestine Aug. 1917 - Dec. 1918, being promoted to Corporal 3 June 1917 and to Lance Corporal 17 Dec. 1918. He returned to Australia on the Port Denison, 13 Nov. 1919
