C. B. Giffin, a farmer of Manildra N.S.W. enlisted in Sydney aged 26 in the 2nd Light Horse Brigade, 6th Light Horse Regiment, "A" Squadron, 8 Sept. 1914. He served with the 15th, 25th and 14th Field Artillery Brigades and was discharged in February 1919, after sailing from England on the Port Lyttleton.
