  • General note

    The album was compiled by Thomas Scott and contains material drawn and collected by him including a list of sketches, and drawings, maps, printed material, and ephemera.
    The drawings and maps are compiled on various papers, some of which bear evidence of correspondence addressed to Thomas Scott.
    No.32 is a composite map made from several pieces of paper.
    Additional material in the form of maps of Milan, Turin, Venice, Naples, Mahon Harbour, Gibraltar, Edinburgh, and Glasgow has been inserted by Thomas Scott behind Nos. 47, 53, 59-61, 63, 65-66 and given the same number.
    No.48 was removed by Thomas Scott with the amendment noted on page, "List of Sketches, &c.".
    Two additional pages (i. map of Scotland, and ii. notes on The first house built in Campbelltown Tasmania in 1821) were found with the sketchbook and are not cited in the "List of Sketches, &c.".
