  This lithograph is an earlier state of two published versions held by the Library showing the print before letters were added to the border beneath the image.
  The two prints, one a tint-stone (V*/Emi/1), the other a chromolithograph (V*/Emi/2) were published by Ackermann & Co., 96 Strand, London.
  Title, artist, and lithographer taken from complete inscription on border of published versions listed above, ""Sydney Cove, N.S.W. / Emigrants Leaving the Ship / No.2 / To Oswald Blaxsome, Esqre. Rangers. North Shore, Sydney. / this print is respectfully dedicated, by / O.W. Brierly / O.W. Brierly del. T. Picken, lith. Day & Son, Lith. to the Queen"".
  The library also holds two colour lithographs of this print in the Dixson Galleries collection (DG VI/7 and DG VI/8).
