  The album is encased in a red leather box inscribed, "Drawings of Sydney and New South Wales / Westmacott 1850-52". The date appears to be incorrect as there are several drawings of the Illawarra area where Westmacott lived 1838-1847. Six of the drawings may be studies for lithographs in his Sketches in Australia ... Exeter, W. Spreat, [1848]. Two of the drawings may be studies for lithographs in his Sketches in N.S.W. ... on stone by W. Gauci. Printed by C. Hullmandel, [184-?]. -- information from catalogue card
