    Unsigned, undated and untitled.
    `By Evans' is written in pencil in the margin in Sir William Dixson's hand. Titled below frame lines at lower centre. The inscription has been compared with Evans hand but does not seem similar. Notes on attribution and dating of this and other paintings by Evans is located at PXn 265.
    Purchased by Sir William Dixson from the collection of Viscount Sydney at Frognal, Kent, 1915. Listed in the Dixson Library catalogue 91/518 as `Unframed drawings - Two old views of Sydney in colour, 12 in x 20 in and 7 in x 24 in'. By `Evans' is written in pencil in the margin in Sir William Dixson's hand
