    Photographs chiefly captioned in ink in contemporary hand
    PXA 1128/1-2 form a panoramic view of Solferino, 1873; signs on the European Hotel (lic. Louis Robinson), J. Havinden's miner's store, Solferino Hotel (lic. James Laird), Albion Hotel (Samuel J. Ferguson) and Harps Family Butcher can be read
    Photographer's blind stamp (nos PXA 1128/1-2,7-13,15-16))
    PXA 1128/7: two signs on the tree between the miners and their hut read: "The Main Top" and "The ... U-Pidee / songs and melodies", the latter with a black & white minstrel image. The miners are posed admiring a gold nugget in the pan. The "miner" on the right, who may be from Lindt's party, is also in PXA 1128/8.
