    Maurice Barber Bevan Keatinge, civil engineer of Neutral Bay, Sydney, New South Wales embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on HMAT A62 Wandilla, 6 June 1916 and served as captain and major with B Company, 3rd Pioneer Battalion in France. He was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He returned to Australia 27 May 1919
