Myril Bowman was born in West Macquarie, New South Wales in 1887. She attended the Presbyterian Ladies College where she was Captain in 1904. Myril studied at Sydney University (1910), Paris and New York. Moved to Canada in 1917 and then to Europe. After marriage lived in New York (1930) and called herself Bowman-Lloyd. After the death of her husband ("an eminent thoracic surgeon"), Myril returned to Sydney and lived in Milson's Point. She has exhibited in the Argus Gallery, Melbourne, in August 1962 and Macquarie Galleries.
